Collection: Jaeger

Established in 1883, London. Curiously, German doctor, Gustav Jaeger, advocated the wearing of animal fibre clothing for health benefits. With exports from Germany proving popular, the rights to the Jaeger name were acquired and design and production began in Britain. From 1953, other luxurious fabrics were introduced and the brand became known for its high quality tailoring and cashmere, in particular. Now considered the holy grail of vintage heritage pieces.

Jean Muir started out at Jaeger in the 1950s and Bella Freud reignited the brand in the 90s.
